Embracing The Art Of Slowing Down!
So my phone completely died & I loved it! One week ago my phone "where everything dubbed social networking happened" decided to say au revoir to the tech world. I supposed it was tired of working 24/7 & as symbolism, I ehh seriously took it as a warning sign to take a break from the social world⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You see I had been so busy working on funnels, calls & interviews for 3 weeks, that that very same day experienced one of the most excruciating migraines in a very long time EVER! I literally felt like I would die of a migraine induced stroke from the pressure pounding against my head as I legit crawled on the ground...& so when my phone died I EMBRACED IT! Because in that moment,I realised "again" through having no words, but simply realising that..life is so much more than building the perfect funnel, and crafting the perfect $270K year for banking purposes, and maintaining the perfect feed. Who's going to enjoy it? Now don't get me wrong, the purpose is there, the mission is there, but when I see so many women crazily trying to catch up.." like I seemed to have been doing for 3 weeks of non-stop work", something has to give.
Like today, when the coach/friend of mine connected to me with the same issue "normally - I would give the inspired action talk, and do what feels good to you", but when the conversation seemed too frequent it meant that there seemed to be a missing human touch⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Or the gorgeous lady who questioned "why is there so much coaching talk in this group,I seem to be questioning that all my work on me may be wrong even though I feel happy"..SHOWS that there is added pressure, because let's be real many women search for answers online "first" before directly contacting a trustworthy voice..themselves⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And HELL YES, getting outside support can be amazing, but sometimes, simply being wordless, slowing down, stopping, just being, just breathing is EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED MY LOVE TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now I’m all about seeing women thrive, to be able to embrace that big goal “especially financially or professionally” in their lives because women have come a very long way and we’re only now beginning to own our full voice with more ease and confidence. But when that process to progress is emotionally depleting her then we have a new problem to tackle.
Personally, through experience as the women who have transformed and shed that excess negative energy and drains through working with me, I know that it’s possible to have it both. Remaining mindful and maintaining that ease is the challenge and there will be days “like the last 3 weeks of my life” where we tend to go the extra push. So how do we tackle the constant overwhelm and overwork? Here are a few quick tips.
End the glorifying act of BUSY & instead have a plan. And by a plan, I don’t mean having a TODAY LIST filled from row 1-12 where you try to get as much out of the day as possible. Non-non; by the plan, I’m referring to having an intention for the day. What is the ONE major outcome you would like to have milestoned by the end of your day “ 4 p.m”, and what mini high-quality action steps can you take to ensure that you're focused on the result with intention? Setting an intention allows you to cut the procrastination as well as feeling like YOU HAVE to be embodying wonder woman’s armor every single day!
Recognize that giving value does not mean sacrificing YOU. Ok, so here’s the trouble I see many women make “especially if they’re new to the world of online entrepreneurship”; and that is……always being active! Look, love, me not having a phone to post on Instagram, or sign into my Active Campaign back end every day, or publishing in 20 Facebook groups for one week DID NOT MAKE THE QUALITY OF MY WORK ANY LESS VALUABLE!! AND NEWSFLASH, NOR WILL IT YOURS! If you notice that you’re always in action mode, your brain is foggy from always being active, you plop down to your desk and realize that it’s 9 hrs later and you haven’t showered nor eaten a great meal for the day…then, we have a problem. Get into the habit of mindfully creating BOUNDARIES in your personal life & your business. You can hustle but learn to leisurely hustle. It’s so much more effective and sexy!
Give Yourself Permission To Stop Being So Hard On Yourself! Because that equals ZERO FUN! Now I’m not here to tell you that you should leave your job or business altogether, but if you notice a pattern of you spending time absorbing the content from someone else’s page, profile, feed, website, ONLY to try to catch up because the paralysis analysis is taking over, then get out. Give yourselve permission to recognize that you’re unique and that there is an exact way that you are meant to present your gifts to the world. This is where the power of wordlessness comes into play because you’re simply connecting and observing you and your environment “emotional” in order to become the master of that. In order to create & take more savvy and empowering decisions about how to lead your life & your success.
TAKE A VACATION!Need I elaborate? Trust me..Your essential self will thank you!
Of course these are just the tip of the iceberg hitting that reset button when you’re completely over it; whether in your life, career or business. When you’re sensing a quarter-life crisis coming up and the fear starts to kick into high gear. When you’re fearing oh dear….did I miss out on my life trying to please everyone else with an outside persona, there will always be a way to find your way back to that path.
And personally I believe that they fall under 4 pillars “Mindset, Attitude, Presence & Support” which can be expanded so much wider if you would love to create lasting change in your life. That’s why I’ve recorded this masterclass for you where I go deeper into these pillars so that you can start implementing them today.
Of course cherie, I welcome you to share your biggest take away in the community below and of course, there is always a fellow lady who is currently searching for a response like this on the widewidesphere, so don’t hesitate to share. Until next time love, xx Bisous
